PhD Studentship Department Of Sport Science, Tourism And Leisure
The Department invites applications for a Hefce funded PhD bursary in one of the following areas:
- Physiological responses to simulated swimming using a prototype ergometer.
- The effects of isometric exercise upon the cardiovascular system, with special focus upon resting blood pressure.
Applicants should possess a good first degree and/or Masters degree in sport science or related subject and demonstrate an excellent knowledge of physiology. The bursary will be for 3 years starting on 1 January 2007 or as soon as possible thereafter.
