Call for proposals for funding in 2008
The Thuthuka Programme falls within the Institutional Capacity Development (ICD) directorate of the NRF. The various programmes and initiatives within the ICD are aimed at the development and support of people, infrastructure, facilities and systems. Investment priority will be given to the achievement of three principal goals:
- Human resource development
- Building the research capacity
- Development of research/knowledge areas
To this end the following Thuthuka sub-programmes have been developed and implemented:
- Researchers-in-Training (RiT)
- Women-in-Research (WiR)
- Research Development Initiative for Black Academics (REDIBA)
Applications for funding of projects within the different sub-programmes open on 4 April 2007. All applications, validated by the respective Institution’s research administration or responsible person, must be submitted to the NRF no later than 4 June 2007.
